This unique event was held on the 21 st August in the Iran Rotative training centre (PTEC) in Iran, near by Tehran. This training & showroom centre is the largest modern centre in all Greater Middle East. The conference called Challenging trends in flexible packaging was held in the spirit of the environment friendly Soma machines and processing without any VOCs. The event was visited by 77 participants mostly represented by owners and general managers from 61 companies. These companies represent a contemporary combination of offset / rotogravure business & advanced experience in flexo business. Their future success is going to be ensured by potential growth and by challenges of CI flexo printing market. The pleasant and inspiring event was terminated in the late afternoon by opulent dinner with all visitors. Shahin Esfarjani, the Sales and Marketing Manager of Iran Rotative, opened the conference by the company presentation. This company represents among others Heidelberg, Gallus, Techkon, Bottcher, etc. Tomas Vrana, Soma Sales Manager responsible for the Greater Midddle East market continued with his presentation of two important issues regarding the trends in flexible packaging. The first topic was focused on the growing popularity of water-based print and the importance of environment aspect in the flexible packaging business. Presented Soma solution of this matter is a water-based flexo printing press, solvent-less laminator and hydraulic-free slitter rewinder, all operated with no solvent consumption and VOC emissions.
The second topic introduced Soma product portfolio, sales support to Soma potential customers and Globe training and technology centre, not only the training centre but also the common meetings place for our experts, suppliers, partners, print buyers and customers at the highest level.
