Falcon 66 - fast print setup system
Soma Engineering has announced the development of Falcon 66, a fully automatic impression and registration setting system for its high performance portfolio of Soma Flex flexographic printing presses.
The Falcon 66 consists of two sub-systems. The first is the Automatic Register Setting (ARS) that utilises a computer and camera matched system to monitor printed marks to make necessary adjustments of longitudinal and horizontal registration settings. Read more about Falcon 66
Q-Shield
Soma Engineering has made a number of new improvements to its Q-SHIELD system that are designed to control or eliminate some of the many variables inherent to the flexographic printing process.
Improvements to Q-SHIELD include the CDTS system to monitor the central drum temperature that is electronically controlled in combination with that of the machine frame. This compensates for even the smallest change in ambient temperature and provides maximum printing impression stability on short, medium and long runs. Read more about Q-Shield
